when i was a barista i made below minimal wage because similar to a waitress our job was considered tipable... but i still made $4 so if someone didnt tip it was no huge deal because others did. i guess it sjust up to you/where you get your coffee?
I only tip my barista if they make me smile.
It's a, "hey, you just made my morning more positive, so here's a couple cents" kinda thing.
